Case Study: H2O Offshore Adventures

When Captain Ant from H2O Offshore Adventures contacted us about designing a website for his offshore fishing charter, there was no clear vision of what was required to integrate the many moving pieces of this type of business. While many companies would shy away from a project like this, Netwide Media jumps into the proverbial water head first!

First, it was necessary to determine what the company’s website would actually be doing. Would it be purely informational, or would there need to be a full booking engine and credit card processing? Would the website be the primary method of booking, or would the company prefer to talk to customers on the phone before they ordered the charter?  In the case of H2O Offshore Adventures, the website would run side-by-side with the local word-of-mouth marketing that the Captain already has, since he’s fairly popular in Fort Myers, Florida to begin with. So, the website will need to have a booking engine and also need the ability to process credit card payments – BUT it will also need the ability for the company to manually book fishing and scuba diving charters on the phone and update them into the website.

After discussing the general look and feel that the Captain wanted, we began our work on a company logo as well as corporate branding on the website. Since the charters focus on only offshore fishing and scuba diving and NOT “inshore” fishing, the fish we chose in the branding needed to reflect the proper offshore species.  After many hours of research, our team put together the website and integrated it with a booking engine that is both easy to use from a customer’s perspective AND cost effective for the company.

After presenting the website, we took ample time to train the Captain on how to use the website in terms of editing and adding new content as well as training him on how to use the booking engine to make his customer service a BREEZE.

From having NOTHING at all in terms of an online business presence, to having a website that he LOVES and currently generates ample leads for his charter service, Netwide Media got it done in less than 3 weeks and UNDER budget!
